Macmillan’s Castle Point Books partnered with CATACI on Dark & Dreamy Tales from Japan, an illustrated collection of 21 classic Japanese folk stories created for an international readership. Working with Japanese manga artist Yuyupanchi, CATACI coordinated the production of more than 60 interior illustrations, ensuring a cohesive visual approach across stories of yōkai, spirits, enchanted animals and legendary heroes. Published in 2025 as a 184-page hardcover and digital edition, the project demonstrates CATACI’s experience in managing large-scale Japanese manga illustration for international publishers, from artist coordination and bilingual production management through to final delivery.
