Collaboration between Nissin Cup Noodles and Attack on Titan

November 28, 2023

This is a collaboration between Nissin Cup Noodles and “Attack on Titan” by Hajime Isayama. It is unique in that they created a new, short story for the promotion of Nissin Cup Noodles by using existing manga/anime characters. These manga/anime images are very familiar to a certain segment of the consumers, but it is even more convincing by using the voices as the original animated shows.

Example of manga publicity by the Japanese government

October 10, 2023

The Japanese government used manga for its publicity. In Japan, the legal age of adulthood was lowered to 18 from 20 years old last year. They used the characters of well-known manga and anime series “Tokyo Revengers” written and illustrated by Ken Wakui.

It meant to attract attention of the younger generation. This type of publicity is often overlooked, but they have succeeded to make the publicity widely shared by using the familiar manga/anime characters.
